Celebrating her friend Max's birthday

Max turned 4. He had his birthday party at Jungle Jims, an indoor amusement center. I thought Carolyn was a little young for the rides and would be scared, but she loved them. Honestly, I hope she learns some caution and fear at some point in her life. Right now, nothing scares her. She will try anything. Her favorite ride was the roller coaster that went around and around and around .... .and then it stopped and went around and around and around backwards. BARF. Fortunately, Angelica (our friend's little sister) volunteered to take Carolyn on a lot of the rides, after Steve and I both took a turn with her on the dizzying roller coaster.

A day at the museum

Carolyn is a busy little girl. Here are some photos of her playing at the Children's Museum in downtown Salt Lake City. She took grandma and grandpa there while they were visiting:

Winter Visitors

First, Jen and Pierce arrived. We enjoyed some days skiing, good food, lots of games, and plenty of laughs. Then, my parents arrived. Snow storms cancelled their flight, making them arrive a day later than expected. Jen & Pierce were also victims of the storm, suffering two flight cancellations and not leaving until a day later then they had expected. I hardly took any photos while Jen and Pierce were in town, but we have a few from my parents' visit, including the day Steve and my dad spent snowmobiling.

It is always nice to have visitors. We miss you all, already!

Tea Party with Mikey & Fufu

Where does she learn this stuff?

Yesterday, I was putting away the laundry in her room while she was quietly playing. When I turned around I noticed that she had put her two babies (Mikey and Fufu bunny) on the chairs around her table. She then ran past me into the bathroom where she got two dixie cups. When she came running back into the room, she said 'Mama, Fufu thirsty.' She gave Fufu a pretend drink of water and then said "AAH." It was at that moment that I decided she was old enough to have the tea set I had as a little girl.

Here are some pictures of Carolyn's first tea party .....

Valentine's Day Party

I hosted a family Valentine's Day party at a nursing home for the Mom's Group I am in. We started out with a music class, where the oldest and youngest sang and danced together. Then, we all made old-fashioned valentine's cards together. Carolyn LOVED every minute of it.

A day in the life of Carolyn

Playing with Leo never gets old. She just giggles and giggles and giggles. He still only tolerates it sometimes, though.

Family Fun-Day Sunday

Most of the snow has melted, but the hill at the golf course is mostly in the shade, so we took advantage of the warm weather and went sledding.
