The holiday starts with sled riding, a new karoeke machine, a date to the nutcracker, our family day of giving (where we passed out some warm sweaters to the homeless and bought people around town coffee and other treats), a delicious beef wellington prepared by Steve, an evening with our neighbor RJ, and our annual pizza party on Christmas day with friends.
This year, Santa brought talking tiki birds for Carolyn and a treasure chest (with a treasure map) for Lizzie. The girls woke up at 845am.
And, on New Year's Eve, my parents made an appearance. They booked the flights last minute, and it was a surprise for the girls. We had another family over for dinner and cocktails. We rang in the new year with a video on Netflix at around 10pm.
