Our Ohio Trip

We went back to Ohio for a summer holiday -- first to Cleveland, where we introduced Carolyn to grandma Carol, grandpa Harry, and the rest of the Altman clan.  Carolyn was so excited to see everyone and is finally understanding who is who.  Elizabeth just went with the flow and flashed her gummy smile whenever she could.

Elizabeth was baptized at Independence Presbyterian Church, Steve's parents' church.  Thank you to Steve's brothers and their families and my parents who joined us for the special event.

While in Cleveland, we were able to visit Kristin and her family in Avon.  Carolyn tried desperately to keep up with the older girls who were busy choreographing dance routines in the front yard.  (this may have been the highlight of her trip; thanks to the older girls for including her).  At one point, she came up to me and Kristin and said quietly, "I do not know how to do the things they are doing."  We convinced her that a somersault was just as cool as the handsprings they were doing.

We were also able to get a quick visit with Katy and her family in Hudson.  Thanks for the tacos and marshmallows.  We cannot wait to see you in "our country" soon.

Then, we were off to Dayton.  Elizabeth met Granny, her Uncle Jason and his family, and a whole lot of other friends and family.  We went to the pool, had pizza parties, admired my parents' "new" house, ran around the yard.  Carolyn went to Kings Island.  And Elizabeth was a good sport, even giggling out loud a few times.  Elizabeth also learned how to roll over.

It was a great trip.  While we love our life in Utah, we do miss our friends and family in Ohio.

This girl is a mover

She rolls over, scoots around, and turns every which way in her crib.  She is never in the same place I put her. 

I may need to invest in some bumper pads for her. 

3 months old

Elizabeth Grace is 3 months old today.  She smiles and occassionally giggles.  She is desperately trying to figure out how to suck her thumb, but usually just ends up eating her whole hand.  She is sleeping through the night consistently, from about 10 until at least 6, and still naps really well throughout the day.  She continues to be a mellow, content, adaptable little girl.  However, she will not take a bottle, so mom cannot get out much.  I just bought a new bottle, maybe she will like it better.
