First Day - videos

Take 2.

Not sure what I did wrong last time, but you should be able to see the videos now.  Don't get too excited.  They are pretty boring videos.

1st day of 2nd grade

Indian hills.  Mr Hackman is her teacher. 

New School for Lizzie -- a welcome back for all of us

Lizze started at the Montessori Community School this week.

For us, it was nice to walk back into a place we are so familiar with.  For Lizzie, it was exciting to be in a new school for BIG kids,  And, for Carolyn, she loved going back into the school and seeing her old teachers.  The picture below is Lizzie standing in front of a wall mural that has a tile that Carolyn made (red one with purple/orange hand print).



Lizzie will have Ms Karey for the next three years, just like Carolyn had.  Her other teachers are Ms. Ruby, Ms, Laura, and Ms. Ashley.




This BIG girl got a new backpack (Spiderman!) and rode her bike to school on the first day.  She has slept in her own bed for the past three nights.  She even says she is going to stop sucking her fingers (that one seems doubtful to me).

A night at the zoo

We picked up katie, one of Carolyn's friends, and spent the evening at the zoo.  There was face painting, a bird show, elephant demonstrations, crafts, and ice cream.  Always a fun night!

Just in case

Steve said they are practicing in case they ever end up living on the street.

This big box has supplied them with hours of fun.... first it was a coffin, so they could play vampires.  Now, it is a bed.
