Movie night

The little girls were upstairs.  The bigger girls were downstairs.

(The little girls - primarily Elizabeth - were not very good, so their night ended pretty early.  The bigger girls had been skiing all day, so I do not think they made a move or said a word.)

This was a school project.  In true Carolyn form, there was no script or preparation.  This is what came out of her mouth spontaneously.

Sorry to our family and friends who are in Ohio.  It looks like a tornado is due to level your houses.

Date night

We were in the same class, followed the same instructions, used the same colors.... Our paintings still turned out so different.

It was a fun night.  We decided we wanted to do something, instead of sitting at a restaurant for valentines day this year.  We went to a printing class and then out for cocktails.

Twister

It is not as easy as I remember.... And look at the finger suckers.

Sled riding

Winter has brought us plenty of snow this year, so we have been hitting the golf course for some sled riding

Painting

Carolyn and her friend quinn went to a painting class.  They doubted their abilities, but ended up creating masterpieces.

The zoo

We are pretty lucky to have a zoo in our neighborhood.

Kristin comes to sundance

We saw several movies, enjoyed a nice dinner out, and had fun catching up.  The ice castles were pretty cool, and apparently the only time I pulled out my camera when Kristin was in town.

Thanks for coming out to visit us, Kristin.

Unexpected visitors

They left as quickly as they came...it was fun for those few days to think about having family out here!

Science fair

Carolyn is in 2nd grade.  Here is her science fair project this year.  She wanted to know what types of material keep her warmest in winter.  She measured great loss in wool versus cotton socks, and wet versus dry socks.
