It is hard to believe that this little one is four. I mean, I seriously do not know where the past 4 years have gone! We have been so busy running here and there the past 4 years, I don't remember when she grew up from a tiny little newborn to a 4 year old.

I have high hopes for 4. For Carolyn, this was the age that I felt we exited those tantrum-filled years of toddlerhood and entered a stage where she was more consistent, predictable, even. It was where we really got to see what Carolyn's personality would be. Elizabeth has had her share of tantrums and sass as a three year old. I can't wait to see what her true personality will be. I can't wait to see what her four year old self will be.
Elizabeth, you bring such a joy to my life and you complete our family. Happy birthday to you. Although we celebrate how much you have grown and developed, you will always be our baby. We look forward to all the adventures that await you in the future.
