We made our annual trek to ohio. How nice it is to see family and to spend a few weeks without worrying about work.
First, i tagteamed heather at the cincinnati airport. The girls went to centerville, and i went to washington dc for work. While in dc, i got to meet ada, the sweet little girl of my friends jen and pierce. My girls had busy days with cousins and grandma and grandpa. Highlights included see "finding dory", the lionking (on stage), a waterpark, and sleep over with addie and emerson.
I finished in dc, flew back to ohio. The girls and i went to cleveland where he had a slumber party with kristin and kids. She took us to see the sunset on lake eerie.
We picked up steve at the cleveland airport, and then visited with his mom, brothers and families. We stayed with katy and dave, and enjoyed our visit with their kids. We took a hike and learned how to skip rocks. Carolyn and i (with lizzie in tow) took a 12 mile bike ride. We enjoyed a fun cookout and a dinner with all of the altmans. The sparklers that aunt char had were definitely a highlight. [I am so sad to discover that i took so few pictures of these fun days in cleveland]
Then, it was back to centerville in time for the 4th of july celebrations. Rain and storms did not dampen the fun too much -- which included a parade, street fair, an all-ages party, and karoeke, and fireworks.
Summer vacation is not complete without fishing and amusement parks. Carolyn was tall enough to ride most of the big roller coasters. After her first one with a flip (the vortex), she gave it a 10.
The best part of the trip was spending time with all of the altmans and utzs. We are sad we don't get to see you often, but we do cherish our times together.
