Award winning?

Carolyn has to do an art project for school.  She chose to learn about photography.

The theme was "what's the story?"  Her photo is called "winter is coming: the story of the honey bee in utah."  She took it on my phone. No editing, other than  a little cropping before printing.

Her description said:  "in the fall, the honey bees are so busy collecting the last nectar from the remaining flowers.  I used to be afraid of all the bees swarming these plants by my driveway, but now I realize they do not care at all about stinging me.  They just want the nectar so they can make honey."

She was so proud of this photo, and said that we may need to print off a second copy and send it to national geographic.

How fun it is to see our kids learn sonething new, and accomplish something they are so proud of!
