The Garage -- Steve's Room

A few days after I told Steve I was pregnant, he began working in the garage. I guess, he wanted to claim that space as his own, a 'man zone' of sorts. The progress has been slow, but it is starting to come together. He ripped out all the old makeshift shelves, fixed the crumbling concrete on the outside wall, framed the interior wall with drywall and insulation, patched all the holes in the ceiling, painted the walls to look like a real room, and added an epoxy coated floor. We bought a new workbench, some cabinets, and other garage organization items. He's happy and very proud of his space - and I love how organized and clean it is. Unfortunatley though, he still insists that cars are not allowed in the garage, except for maybe one car on the few days each year where they predict more than a couple of inches of snow. He is also pretty particular about what other items can and cannot go in the space. For example, he will not put a ladder in the garage. The snow shovels, rakes, and the sprinkler system "key" also did not make the cut, so I told him that he is going to have to build another storage space outside on the side of the house to store the things that a garage normally keeps. Apparently, with all of the extra garage space, he plans to add a lounge area complete with a flat screen TV and lazy-boy recliners and a ping pong table and a home gym and an office area and even a murphy bed so guest can stay out there.... Ah, a man can dream! (And guests, I promise to offer you better accommodations than our garage when you come visit...but unfortunately, that ladder may have to be in the guest bedroom with you!)

I assume you mean the flakes in the floor .... Yes, we put the flakes down. The floor looks good.
