Elizabeth Grace is 2 years old. Who knows if I will ever get around to making her baby book? (I really should. I cannot let her be the sad undocumented 2nd child.)
But, just in case I do not get around to doing it, I better at least document her growth here.
Stats at 24 months
HT: 34.06" 61st percentile
WT: 25 lbs, 7oz 31st percentile
HC: 48.5 cm 75th percentile
What does this all mean? Not much. She is a little above-average for height, a little below-average for weight, and has an a big head.
At 2, she does not talk too much, but she is trying so will hopefully replace her crying and whining with actual words soon. She and we would all be much happier, I think. At this time, she shows no interest in using the toilet - though, upon more occasions than I can count, she has peed a few feet away from the potty after she took off her diaper and sat on the toilet for a minute. Maybe that is progress, or perhaps it is just an indication that she has no idea what the potty is for! With the first child, I would have thought the former. With a second child, I tend to think the latter explanation is more reasonable.
Still, you can often find her sucking the two middle fingers on her right hand.
And, finally, unlike her sister, she is a great sleeper. She usually goes to bed without a fuss and takes nice naps during the day. She climbed out of her crib when she was 18 months, but must have forgotten how to do it now. Despite that, we will probably transition her to a real bed this summer. A friend of ours has asked if she can have the crib, and her baby is due on October.
