This is the 2nd year Carolyn and her friend Keira have done the Kid's Adventure Race. It is a two-person race, where teams have to navigate a course while running, biking, and accomplishing a series of obstacles. The girls did great.
It was a tough course (Steve, Lizzie, and I ran the whole way with them). My pictures do not do it justice. In addition to the obstacles I did photograph, they also did a zip line, a giant slip and slide down the mountain, a blow dart course, climbing nets, the catapault, and a slippery wall. It is fun to watch the girls encourage one another. It was all the more impressive to see Carolyn pump out the mountain bike part, since she has never really ridden her bike anywhere other than the road.
